In 1962, Niels Otto Møller designed the sculptural Model 78 dining chair, which to this day is considered the epitome of Danish mid-century elegance. The version with armrests was produced as the Model 62, while the Model 78 is characterized by its clearly proportioned, horizontal backrest.
Manufactured by JL Møllers Møbelfabrik, founded in 1944, this chair combines meticulous craftsmanship with exceptionally refined lines. Møller, himself a trained cabinetmaker, placed the utmost importance on material quality and workmanship – an attitude reflected in the balanced construction and softly curved details.
This set of eight chairs is crafted from exquisite rosewood, whose vibrant grain lends the ensemble depth and warmth. The seats have been reupholstered in original black leather, preserving both comfort and authenticity.
A rare set of eight of an iconic design, ideal for spacious dining areas or discerning collectors of Scandinavian design classics.
